School Ministries of Rock Hill is a non-profit organization seeking to bring Released Time School Ministry to Rock Hill School District 3. Released Time School Ministry would initially be presented as an elective to middle school students, allowing students, with parental approval, to attend church during elective periods instead of other electives, such as band, gym, etc.
This non-denominational ministry is currently supported by 18 Rock Hill area churches and many local parents and citizens. Released Time School Ministries are already in place in York and Clover School Districts, as well as many other districts in South Carolina and across the nation, and the concept for Released Time School Ministries was made possible by a U.S. Supreme Court decision.
School Ministries are conducted at churches or facilities directly beside or very near school grounds, and classes are taught by qualified Christian educators. We believe the impact on student behavior and performance as a result of once or twice a week lessons from the Bible is not only positive and quantifiable, but also an imperative mission of Christians everywhere.
This survey is being conducted to help determine interest among parents, grandparents, and friends of school-aged youth for a ministry of this type in Rock Hill. Please support us by thoroughly completing five brief questions:
School Ministries of Rock Hill now offers a Before-School Morning Program at Castle Heights Middle School. We would like to invite your child to attend!
Our program provides students a safe, warm, and fun place to go before school begins. We meet every Thursday morning between 7:30 and 8:30.
In addition to fellowship and a snack, we offer brief Bible and Life Skills lessons. Our lessons center directly on Jesus’ teachings and basic Bible exploration, and classes are taught by qualified Christian educators, many of whom are retired school educators.
To enable your child to attend, you must complete a CONSENT FORM and DELIVER IT to the office at Castle Heights Middle School.
